How To File A Protestor Comment To PUC

Step by Step Directions:

The public may file comments with the PUC expressing their opinion regarding matters of concern. The PUC does not have an obligation to read them. However, when many members of the public file comments,

they likely take note of the volume. And the comments are of public record that citizens can see and share with others. You can file a Protestor Comment from your phone or computer. It takes about two minutes. There is NO excuse not to participate. You may download the step by step directions HERE, or continue reading below.

Voice your concerns! If you are opposed to the Transmission service Provider's application for where to build these transmission lines, but do not have legal standing to be an Intervenor or do not wish to be a party to the case, you can file comments to the PUC as a Protestor. Protestor comments are entered into the official record of a proceeding. If you have questions, call the PUCT at 512-936-7374 for assistance. You can use the same Protestor comments to send to the governor, and all lawmakers who impact your area, including County Commissioners. Go to our Call to Action section AFTER you file your Protestor Comment.

FIRST -

Print out your thoughts on a piece of paper. Sign it. Take a picture on your phone or scan on your computer. See suggested Protestor

- click Search at the bottom of the page.

Send these instructions to everyone you know and get them to fill it out!

Even if it is not on your land, we can ALL complain about our electric bills since TEXAN RATEPAYERS PAY for this project.

Now, don’t stop here. Send your prepared comments for PUCT to:

- your local judge, county commissioners, local newspaper, and state senators and representatives,

- Gov. Greg Abbott with a strong message to HALT and STUDY. CALL 512-463-2000 or go HERE.

- Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick. CALL 512-463-0105 or go HERE.

Then send your comments to your neighbors and get them to do the same. If you pay a utility bill, you are IMPACTED. If you hike one of the seven wild rivers they are threatening to cross, you are IMPACTED. If you value security in our grid, you are IMPACTED!
